Hello Blog world!
I've decided to start an all new blog, for the older, newer, adult me.
Right now, I'm attending Arizona State University. I'm majoring in Broadcast Journalism and wish to become a news anchor.
I'm in my first year, second semester here and I LOVE IT!
I'm in a sorority called Alpha Delta Pi.
It's seriously one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I have the BEST big diamond sister. Her name is Jessica and we are soul mates. She is awesome and the best person ever.
I love ASU
BUT:
Here's the thing.
I'm planning on transferring schools.
ASU is missing one thing.
The boy.
His name is Thomas Newton and I am completely in love with him.
He lives in Utah.
So I'm going to transfer to a school there so I can be with him.
(hopefully U of U. waiting to hear if I get accepted!)
People here in Arizona think I'm crazy to transfer schools for a boy,
but I don't think they understand how in love I am, so they're just
going to have to get over it and they'll see I was right when we get
married.
(since I'm completely convinced that we are going to get married.)
Now, if you don't like love stories and/or people talking about love,
then do not pay any attention at all to my blog, because I'm telling you
know, most of my posts will be about Thomas.
So, Now I guess I'll tell our story.
This is Thomas ^^^
We met 2 1/2 years ago at EFY.
I went with about 13 of my cousins and he went with about 10 of his.
(okay they're not really his cousins, but he's been super close with
their family for a while now so they just consider him family.)
So we were 2 of 3 big family groups there.
Thomas and I were in the same company at EFY and from the second I laid eyes on him, I was head over heels.
(cheesy, I know, but it's true!!! Just ask my cousin and best friend Katrina.)
I kept trying to talk to him as much as I could during the week, and I
somehow got his number, I don't remember how, and we started texting.
He was one of the only guys I danced with during the dance on thursday,
and while we were dancing he was singing along to the song and that made
my heart skip a beat. Ever since then I've encouraged him to sing even
though at the time, he hated singing. He said he was horrible at it, but
I think he's good and it's super cute to hear him sing.
Anyway! We texted that week, and every night when we were texting, I
would be giggling and blushing, and Katrina, Amber, and Heidi, my
cousins, would make fun of me because of how much I liked this guy I had
just met and I said I was going to marry one day.
Well, I think it was within the next few weeks (maybe even days) that he
came over to Katrina's house and we drew with chalk on her driveway,
and I learned more about him and his family, and his best friend Keith.
Sometime later, (weeks...days...I don't remember) I really wanted to see
him. So one day, he picked me up in the morning and I went with him to
his institute class. After that we went to lunch, hiked up a mountain,
tried to go rent a movie that we found out wasn't out till the next week
and went over to Keith's house. We spent the whole day together and it
was the most amazing day of my life. I was on cloud nine!
Well, I went home sometime after that and we kept texting. Then I found
out he had sent in his mission papers. He had turned 19 about a month
after we met, but he had only joined the church about a year before, so
he wasn't ready to go on a mission yet. But in about October?? He turned
in his mission papers and got his call. He was going to Japan. 15 days
before my birthday. And I was SAD.
My parents flew me to Utah the morning of his farewell, I went to that
with Katrina and Amber, then after church I flew back home.
I wrote to him for a while when he was gone, then stopped for reasons I don't feel like getting into.
In December of 2012, I saw on his cousin Katie's facebook that he was coming home on new years eve!!!
I was SO excited!!!!!
So I asked my parents for a plane ticket to go to his homecoming for Christmas.
And guess what????
I got it!!!!
The night before I flew to Utah for his homecoming, I cried because I was so excited to see him again.
Then, it was the day of his homecoming!!
I walked into church and saw him. I wanted so badly to run up to the stand and hug him!!
After the meeting I finally got to go say hi, and I got the biggest most incredible hug ever.
We went back to Keith's house for the "party" and I was there all day until I had to leave to go to the airport.
He offered to drive me and I gladly accepted. ;)
At the airport, we hugged forever. Neither of us wanted to let go!!
But we finally had to, and once I was on the plane, I cried again.
I didn't want to leave him!!! I had just gotten him back!!
Ever since then, we've texted and talked on the phone almost every day for 1-2 hours.
Ever since I saw him again, all my feelings have come back and they're so much stronger!!
Well, a few days ago, I decided I was done with not being able to see him.
I gave him up for 2 years!!! That's long enough!!!!
So I have decided that I want to move to Utah so that I can be with him.
Once I get there, we'll hopefully start dating and all will be right with the world :)
Well, that's pretty much our story :)
I could have added a bunch more, like cute stuff he's said to me that
I've remembered for years...but I'll spare you guys the reading and I'll
probably mention them later at some point or another.
But for now, you guys should all go listen to the song Droplets by Colbie Callait and Jason Reeves.
It's one of my favorite songs in the entire world and guess what? Thomas showed it to me. :)
haha!
Well that's all for now!
